Michael Matthews, 22, died six years ago.  He had reached the summit of Everest and was the youngest to do so, but was caught in a blizzard the same day which caused his death before his return to base-camp. He had paid £22,000  for the adventure.

Dismissing the case, Judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC, Southwark Crown Court said "It was a terrible accident, but the law should not inhibit adventure."
