Right Honorable Tony Blair, commenting on the campaign launch as UK Prime Minister: 'Everything we do in our everyday activity, in our work and leisure involves some element of risk. Risk is an inescapable part of our lives. The challenge for all of us, both within and outside Government is to manage risk in a way which gives us the necessary protection we need without constraining what we do beyond a level that is justified. I very much welcome your conference today as a vital contribution to this debate. I hope that you will enjoy what I am sure will be a very stimulating and productive'.

Inner adventure to ponder in this November weather...

"With risk comes life"....Arthur William Ward....

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.

Ian Lewis  Coordinator  Campaign for Adventure

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to
risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in
life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing has
nothing, and is nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot
learn, feel, change, grow, love, live.
Chained by their attitudes, they are a slave, they have
Forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
