Let us now praise Lembit Öpik, MP. No, really. I am bored by smirking articles about the Montgomeryshire Liberal Democrat with the Estonian name who worries about asteroid strikes, who may or may not be plotting a leadership challenge (having previously backed the two most embarrassing failures for that office); who according to his former weathergirl fiancée serenades lovers with Sinatra in the street, but who now happens to have fallen in love in the Science Museum with a Romanian former potential-deportee who sings a number entitled Touch My Bum in a combo called the Cheeky Girls.
